Correcting mistakes with the Undo feature

Before you start working on the drawings, familiarize yourself with the Undo and Redo features:

Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut:

Undo allows you to reverse up to 20 actions you have taken, and if necessary, redo them. So for example, if you paint a region with the wrong color, you can use Undo to remove the paint you added.

Similarly, if you accidentally erase part of a region boundary line with the Eraser tool, you can use the Undo command to restore the line. If you then decide that you really did want the line erased, you can use the Redo command to re-apply the action to it.

When you use the Pencil or Eraser tools, the Undo stack is not updated until you choose another tool. This saves processing time after each use of the Pencil or Eraser tool, but it also means that all the Pencil or Eraser strokes you make are counted as one undo level. If you want to force the program to make a new undo level after each change you make with the Pencil or Eraser tool, you must select a new tool after each change.

So, to summarize:

If you have made changes using the anti-alias brush, choosing Undo/Redo will undo and redo all the changes that were made during the anti-aliased brush session.
